Excel Introduction

This course includes creating and modifying a spreadsheets, entering text and values, creating formulas and functions, using autofill, formatting, inserting and deleting columns and rows, printing and saving, and page setup options.  Extra attention is given to shortcuts, tips and tricks!

Prerequisites: Windows Introduction or previous Windows experience.


Excel Intermediate

This intermediate spreadsheet course includes viewing options, hiding and displaying data, linking and consolidating workbooks, advanced charting techniques, advanced formatting, basic list management (sorting and filtering), creating cell comments and protecting cells from changes, and creating and managing templates.

Prerequisites: Excel Introduction or equivalent experience.


Excel Advanced

This course teaches advanced formulas and functions, lookups and data tables, list management and data validation, creating and formatting PivotTables, exporting and importing, analytical options, and macros.

Prerequisites: Excel Introduction and Intermediate, or equivalent experience.


Excel Data Analysis Using Power Pivot and PivotTables

NEW COURSE:  We are now living in the age of big data.  Data is being collected all the time and for increasingly detailed transactions.  This can lead to an overwhelming amount of data, which brings about a need for people who can analyze large amounts of data quickly.  Fortunately, Excel provides Power Pivot to help you organize, manipulate, and report on your data in the best way possible.  Since a tool is only as good as the person using it, it is important to gain a solid understanding of Power Pivot to maximize your effectiveness when analyzing data.  Along with this, the need to analyze that data and gain actionable insight is greater than ever.


Being able to harness the power of advanced PivotTable features and create PivotCharts will help you to gain a competitive edge.  You will not only be able to summarize data for you to analyze, but also organize the data in a way that can be meaningfully presented to others.  This leads to data-driven business decisions that have a better chance for success for everyone involved. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to use Power Pivot along with Excel's PivotTables and Pivot Charts to analyze data from a variety of sources. Topics include: Get started with Power Pivot, visualize Power Pivot data, work with advanced functionality in Power Pivot, prepare data for PivotTable reporting and create PivotTables from various data sources, analyze Data Using PivotTables, work with PivotCharts.

Prerequisites: To ensure your success in this course, you should have experience working with Excel and working with tables/lists of organized data.  You should already understand spreadsheet concepts.  Prior experience creating and analyzing basic PivotTables will be helpful.
